I was leaving St. Simon's Island, GA after delivering some paintings to the gallery that reps me there. The sun was slanting, late afternoon, and I spotted this scene. Immediately I flipped a U-turn, jumped out of the car and started taking pictures...I had to capture that light before the sun dipped further. This painting is the finished result, and it makes me want to grab a kayak and go out on the water.

I had an out loud "oh wow" when i saw this image. Very nice, I hate that you parted with it as well, but hooray for charity.
