This work is more an evolution than a pure painting. I started out with just a vague idea for a composition and along the way made some pretty drastic changes. When I considered it "finished" I framed and put it in a show. Lots of comments....but no sale. So I took it home and studied it. The lavender field was, I decided, too.....lavender. So I punched in some magenta throughout and.....voila, now I'm happy.
