Egret's Perch

This piece continues my "Fog Series". I have always loved driftwood, and some of the Georgia beaches abound with it. So I decided to combine to two aspects, fog and driftwood, to create a tranquil, almost lonely mood. But when I finished....it seemed too lonely to me. So I added Mr. Egret.

Barrett,
This one reminds me of Bull Island, off the SC coast...a wildlife preserve with lots of driftwood that visitors are careful not to remove. I love your soft, lonely, fogged-in beaches...they evoke a mood wonderfully.
In San Diego at the moment and just spent the day with Tracy Fayssoux Bernstein in her beautiful home in the hills of Encinitas. There, the light screams to be painted. I'll send her a link to your blog...I know she'll love it as I do.
