I love our Colorado summers and hate to see them end. I never am ready to return to Florida until the first snow hits our mountains. Our aspen, cottonwoods and river willows start turning gold and yellow and russet in September, and if I am very lucky, we get an early snow while the colors are still bright. Intoxicating. It's my compensation for having to leave the mountains.
