Beaver Lodge - McCullough Gulch

This lovely scene is about 45 minutes from our home in Colorado, and I've thus far painted the area three times from different angles. And I'll paint it again because it stirs me so. But next time, I'll take along a painting buddy because as I was setting up to paint this scene, I noticed a fresh bear track in the wet mud. It took a full half hour of painting before I let the bird songs and beauty of nature relax me.
