Naples, FL, where I live in the winter, has some of the most amazing cloud formations, and I'm always dreaming of excuses to paint them. A collector mentioned that she hoped I'll have some new poppy paintings for an upcoming show....so that was my excuse to let my cloud passion express itself.

I dunno about this one, unfortunately, the picture didn't come through RSS for me, so when i first read the description, I hadn't seen it yet, and maybe that prejudiced me, but the sky there doesn't seem to fit "field scene" to me. The picture seems to juxtapose incongruous ... no vocab to use here... "scenes"... which i like because it seems kind of like an oil embodiment of magical realism, and seems to break your typical feel a little, which is refreshing, but it'll take some getting used to as i already adore your art and styles
