Autumn Aspens

Scenes like this are part of the reason I am always reluctant to leave Colorado in the fall to return to Naples. For me, September and October are the most art-inspiring months in the Rockies, so I get into a fever of last-minute painting. This small, quick work was done just the week before we headed east, and even now as I sit in 82-degree Naples, I can still smell the woodsmoke in the air as I painted.
