This courtyard made me reach for my sketchbook and camera as soon as I saw it. It was during one of my solo, wonderfully wandering trips through Provence, so I had time to lock it in my memory, even though it has taken me four years to get around to painting it. And, to my mind, that's been a good thing, because while working on this canvas, I made the decision to return to Vaison la Romaine as soon as I can to paint and again feed my soul.

This is fantastic!!!!! Your colors, your brushwork!!! It makes me want to go. I can almost feel the excitement you must have felt when you walked up on this. You have truly done it justice.
